(OLD Edition) Callan Stage 11 lesson 169 page 1156 start with: INSPECT

SENTENCE STRUCTURE:

-I just arrived home from my work.
-My department will transfer into another floor but in the same building.

GRAMMAR:

-As can be seen, the word "get" is used in many Phrasal Verbs - get up, get down, get on, get off etc. This is partly due to the fact that it is short and consists of only one syllable, and has many different meanings. It is a very convenient word. It appears in over 40 phrasal verbs. The student should not be too upset by this; he only has to be able to understand, or guess at, the meaning of the phrasal verbs; he does not have to be able to use them himself - each phrasal verb can nearly always be expressed in other words.

-A Phrasal Verb is a phrase, consisting of a verb and one or two more additional words, used in the same way as a verb.
